World Records

  • Beam Energy: 980 GeV, Now. In the Tevatron
  • Initial Luminosity: 3.53191 E32 [1/cm**2 sec], 26 December 2008, Store #6683. This was a Recycler shot and another WORLD RECORD
  • Beam power in a DC Electron Beam: 7.8 MW, 9 April 2006. Generated by the Recycler's Electron Cooling Pelletron in the energy recovery mode

The ISR achieved an initial proton-proton colliding beam luminosity of 1.4E32 [1/(cm**2 sec)] at 31 GeV in 1982. They now have the second highest luminosity for a hadron collider in history

  • Integrated Luminosity in One Store: 11379.57+ 11055.12 [1/nb], 29 July 2008, Store #6324. For CDF and D0, respectively
  • Integrated Luminosity in a Week: 73.070 [1/pb], April 13 - April 20 2009. Average intergrated Luminosity of both CDF and D0.
  • Integrated Luminosity in a Month to CDF: 263.609 [1/pb], December 2008. D0 also set a record this month
  • Maximum number of PBars at Low Beta: 3326E9 , 10 February 2008, Store #5899. From the Recycler
  • Maximum number of Protons at Low Beta: 18236. E9 , 14 July 2002, Store #1526. No comment.
  • Integrated Luminosity in a Month to D0: 256.484 [1/pb], December 2008. CDF also set a record this month
  • Store Duration: 53.75 Hours, 29-31 July 2006, Store #4862.

Linac Records

  • Largest peak Linac H-Minus Current: 60 mA, January, 1998. The Booster prefers 35 mA
  • Largest peak Linac Proton Current: 200 mA, 1984.
  • Most 400 MeV Beam Pulses in 24 hours: 452483 , 13 March 2005. 5.2371 Hz operation, averaged over 24 hours
